The Damascus knives in the pictures are made of forged DAMASCUS STEEL, low carbon alloy & high carbon steel forged several times to obtain 176 LAYERS. The blade is then heat treated that enables the knife to acquire 52 to 58 HRC on Rockwell scale that will keep it sharper for a long time.

The D2 Steel Knives boast excellent edge retention and features extremely high wear resistance properties. Its also considered semi-stainless.

Special care must be taken to ensure rust does not form on the knife, Always clean and dry your knife after use. Make sure to place some sort of oil on the blade to prevent rust. Coconut oil, Canola Oil, Pan Spray etc
